The 5G network has been rolled out very fast in India. Airtel and Jio are two major telecom operators who have worked to bring a 5G network to every corner of the country so that people can get high-speed internet connectivity. 5G network works in any smartphone only when that phone is 5G. In the last year, smartphone companies have launched most of their handsets 5G enabled. Now people are also preferring to buy 5G smartphones. If you want to activate Airtel or Jio's 5G SIM in the new phone, then the process is very easy.

The rollout of 5G network in India started in the year 2023. The ongoing competition between Jio and Airtel helped in the rapid 5G rollout. Airtel claims that its 5G service is available in more than 500 cities. However, the company also says that users will not need to change the SIM when switching from 4G to 5G. But in most cases, people have had to take 5G SIM. Jio's 5G rollout has also happened very fast. Let's know how to activate the new 5G SIM of both companies.

As we told you, any 5G SIM will work on your smartphone only if your phone is 5G. If you know this, then it is very good, but if you do not know and do not know whether the phone is 5G or not, then it is easy to check. Go to the settings of your phone. Select the option of mobile network or SIM and network. By clicking on the network of your Airtel or Jio SIM, you can see whether the 5G network is showing on the phone or not.

If you have bought a new Airtel or Jio 5G SIM and your phone is also 5G, then open the tray in the phone with the SIM ejector tool to insert the SIM. During this time, keep your phone switched off. After placing the SIM in the tray, insert it into the phone and turn the phone on. To activate Airtel or Jio 5G SIM, you have to dial a number.

To activate Airtel 5G SIM, you have to call 121 from your number. At the same time, Jio users have to complete the tele-verification process by dialing 1977. After that, follow the steps that you will be asked to follow. Finally, you have to type the 20-digit SIM number written on the SIM card. After some time you will get a message of SIM activation.

As soon as your SIM is activated, you have to go to the mobile settings and tap on the mobile network. There you have to select your network and choose the 5G option. To confirm whether 5G is running in the phone or not, you test the speed. For this, open any speed test app or go to Google Chrome browser and type, internet speed test. That will tell you how fast the internet is running on the phone.

Even after so many attempts, if the 5G network is not visible in your SIM, then restart the phone and try to activate the SIM again. Also, make sure that Airtel or Jio 5G network is present in your area. You can also check whether 5G has come to your city or not by visiting Airtel and Jio's website. Even after this, if 5G is not getting activated, then go to the phone settings and check the software update. Your phone should be updated with the latest software.
