The Critics Choice Awards 2025 was held on Tuesday night. In the ceremony, many films of the country were nominated for the best award in different categories. Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh received the Best Actor Award for his brilliant performance in Amar Singh Chamkila, while Darshana Rajendran received the Best Actress Award for her performance in Paradise. Apart from this, Ravi Kishan received the best supportive actor for the missing Ladies and Kani Kusruti received the Best Supporting Actress award for the missing Ladies.
Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh looked very happy during this period. He said to the media and said- 'I dedicate this award to Amar Singh Chamkila and Imtiaz Sir who brought this beautiful film alive. I got a chance to be a part of it. This is the result of the hard work of Imtiaz Sir. Thank you very much to all the actors and crew of the film. Let me tell you that Diljit and Parineeti's acting was praised for this film which came last year.
Even though Payal Kapadia was disappointed in the Oscar, he received the Best Director Award at the Critics Choice Awards. Kapadia, who won the Best Actress Award, thanked everyone for this achievement. Richie Mehta's drama series Polar won the Best Web Series Award. The lead actress of the same series Nimisha Sajayan received the Best Actress Award in the web series category. Barun Sobti received the Best Actor Award in the web series category for his work in the night.
