The image is being shared as a recent one from the ongoing season amid the row over the Mughal emperor’s tomb in Nagpur.

What's the truth?: This image has been altered using AI tools.

• The placard in the original image reads, "The Man. The Myth. The Mahi”.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on the viral image using Google lens.

This led us to the image shared by Indian film director Rathna Kumar on his official Instagram page.

• The placard in the original image read, "The Man. The Myth. The Mahi”.

• It did not abuse Aurangzeb or any other Mughal ruler.

• The caption said, "MAHI is part of my life. CSK is part of my heart ♥️.

  They never lost whenever i went to ground and saw the match

  % Success ratio . Whatte Night." (sic)

• This image was shared on 23 March and shows Kumar attending CSK VS Mumbai Indians (MI) IPL 2025 match in Chennai.

• Moreover, we did not find any other posts on Kumar's account carrying a placard which was directed towards Aurangzeb.

Image has been manipulated using AI tools: We also ran the image through AI detection tools, Hive Moderation and Sight Engine.

• The results returned with 99 percent of AI manipulation in the image.

• Sight Engine also specified that this image had been edited using MidJourney.

Further, we noticed errors in the viral image, including deformed and missing fingers which were supposed to hold onto the placard.

Conclusion: An image has been manipulated using AI tools to claim that a CSK fan was holding a placard which abused Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
