The strong SUV Force Gurkha, who shows the fire in off roading, has been included in the fleet of the Indian Defense Force. Force Motors said that it has received an order of 2,978 vehicles of Gurkha from the Indian defense forces. The company said that these vehicles can be included in the fleet of both the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force. This SUV mission is equipped with the capabilities of ready vehicle.
Interestingly, Force Motors has been serving the defense sector for many years through its Gurkha LSV (Light Strike Vehicle). Force Gurkha is designed emphasizing off-road use. It has high ground clearance, a powerful 4 × 4 driving for running water and off-road driving. This SUV can run in any kind of conditions from the desert to the mountain.
Force Gurkha is available in two body form, the first is 3 door and second is 5 door models. Both models get a 2.6-liter turbocharged inter-cooled diesel engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 138 bhp and peak torque of 320 Nm. Both models have a 5-speed manual gearbox and 4 × 4 capacity. It provides front and rear locking differential for excellent off-roading.
Talking about the features, Force Gurkha gets an 18-inch alloy wheel, 7-inch LED Digital Instrument Console and a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which makes the model a new powerful as well as comfortable. In 2024, the 4WD shifter was changed from manual lever to the shift-on-fly rotor knob between the front seats. The price of a 5-door model starts at Rs 18 lakh ex-showroom. The SUV gets a mileage of 9.5 kmp.
