New Delhi. The Madras High Court has granted interim anticipatory bail till 7 April, giving great relief to Kunal Kamra. Justice Sundar Mohan admitted that Kunal Kamra is unable to go to the court of Maharashtra due to the threats received by political party workers. Kunal Kamra had filed an application in the Madras High Court today and sought the transit anticipatory bail. Describing his life as a threat, he had said that if I go to Mumbai, I will be arrested. The Madras High Court said that he should be relieved from arrest until Kunal Kamra takes permanent legal measures.
An FIR has been lodged against Kunal in an objectionable comment case against Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and the Mumbai Police has sent summons to appear twice for questioning. In this case, the Mumbai Police had also registered an FIR against Shiv Sena activists for sabotage at Habitat Studios located in Khar. In this studio, Kunal Kamra's show suit was done in which he called Eknath Shinde a 'traitor'. Kunal Kamra is constantly being threatened by Shiv Sena leaders since this incident. However, Kunal Kamra had earlier said through social media posts that he is not among those who hide fear of threats.
Along with this, he also said that if the court asks me to apologize then only I will apologize. After this, Kunal uploaded another video on social media in which he was seen singing 'Hum Hum Hogi Kamayab' song lyrics 'Hum Hoga Kangal one day, superstition in mind, destruction of the country, we will be Kangal one day'. Shiv Sena leader Rahul Narayan Kanal has filed a complaint against Kunal Kamra and demanded an investigation into the funding for his YouTube channel.
