Indian Institute of Management (IIM Bangalore) recently organized its 50th convocation, in which hundreds of students were awarded degrees and were honored. Former ISRO Chairman S. Somnath was also present at this ceremony. He said that the future is faster than you think and the world's biggest problems are also its biggest opportunities. Technology can solve the biggest challenges, but we should be aware of its social impact.

798 students graduated

In this convocation of IIM Bangalore, a total of 798 students studying different courses graduated, including 529 students of the flagship Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP), 82 students of Executive Post Graduate Program in Management (EPGP), 80 students of Post Graduate Program in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), 72 students of Post Graduate Program in Business Analytics (PGPBA), 18 PhD scholars and 13 students of Post Graduate Program in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM). Out of the PGPPM graduates, 10 got degrees, while three students were diploma holders.

8 students won gold medals

This year, 8 students also got gold medals, out of which one student won two awards. Apart from this, PhD scholar Ashish Singh Bhandari got the Institute Research Award for Excellence in Research and Professor Prakash G. Apte Research Award.

Among the gold medal winners, Manthan Dhabriya secured first place in the PGP 2023-2025 batch, while Ritwik Sandeep Saraf stood second. At the same time, Paritosh Ashutosh Sharma won the Best All-Round Performance Award jointly for PGP and PGPBA batches.

Apart from this, Faiz Alam secured first rank in the PGPBA course, while Parth Tiwari secured first place in the EPGP 2024-2025 batch, while Siddharth Pujari was awarded the Best All-Round Performer Award. Naveen Rathani secured both the first rank and the Best All-Round Performer award in PGPEM, while Awais Patwegar won the Best Academic Performance award in PGPPM.
