Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that preparations for the next season of Kaun Banega Crorepati have officially started. The legendary host shared that the first step in the process is filming the promo, which invites contestants to register for the much-loved quiz show.

“Work is the reliever of one's destiny .. and the next season preparations have begun in real earnest for the SHOW .. so the initial step be the promo to invite for registrations (sic),” Bachchan wrote on his blog.

The actor also posted three behind-the-scenes pictures on his social media, giving fans a glimpse of the filming process. One image shows him lying on a sofa while the camera captures a scene from above.

Apart from sharing updates about KBC, Amitabh Bachchan reflected on how deeply engaged he gets while watching movies or TV series. “Is it with everyone or just me .. when we see a film or a TV series, the engrossed percentage is so large that after a while you begin to be and behave like one of the characters on the film. (sic),” he mused.

The veteran actor also took a moment to extend his heartfelt wishes to fans celebrating Chaitra Sukhladi , Gudi Padwa , Ugadi, and Eid ul-Fitr. He spoke about the beauty of these festivals, emphasizing the unity and joy they bring across different communities.

The 16th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati premiered on August 12, 2024. In December, registrations reopened to mark the show’s 25th anniversary. On January 20, 2025, the celebrations kicked off with a special segment, Kahaani Jeet Ki, where past crorepatis shared how KBC transformed their lives. This nostalgic and inspiring segment highlighted the impact of the show beyond the game. The season concluded on March 11, 2025, wrapping up its milestone year with memorable moments and heartfelt stories from winners who had their lives changed by the legendary quiz show.
