The capital Delhi's air quality index (AQI) was recorded 138 on Saturday, better than Saturday's 153 and more than 189 of the same day last year. Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa inspected the performance of companies specializing in air pollution control. The displayed solutions included advanced techniques such as drone mistrinker, outdoor air purifier and installation of air quality monitoring stations across Delhi.
The minister said that these measures are being implemented in those areas where the pollution level is high so that their effects can be maximized.
The minister also informed that pole sprinkler is being installed in the New Delhi region to strengthen dust control. These technical intervention will further strengthen efforts to reduce pollution in the city.
Delhi's Environment Minister Sirsa said that previous governments used to make plans only on paper, but our government is doing concrete work on the ground. Constant improvement in Delhi's air quality is proof of our tireless efforts. We will continue to apply more innovations to ensure long -term stability.
Under the future strategy, the Delhi government has made a strong budget provision for environmental protection for 2025-26. 506 crore rupees have been allocated for the Environment and Forest Department, out of which Rs 300 crore has been fixed under pollution control and emergency measures. Apart from this, six new Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (CAAQM) station is also being planned for real-time air quality tracking.
