After sophisticated monitoring and information collection, the Delhi Police arrested 45-year-old Sanoj Mishra on March 30, 2024.

Mishra, who lives in Mumbai with his family, was arrested in Ghaziabad and put into prison by the Nabi Karim Police Station.
A 28-year-old lady from a tiny village is at the core of the case; she claimed that Mishra sexually assaulted her four times.

The lady claimed to have lived with Mishra in Mumbai during this period and to have dreamed of becoming a movie star.

She further claimed that Mishra coerced her into having an abortion three different times.

In her police statement, the woman further said that Mishra had broken his vow to marry her.

An FIR was filed on March 6, 2024, under many categories, including rape, assault, inducing miscarriage, and threatening, according to a statement from the Delhi Police.

In a statement made in accordance with section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), the complainant further substantiated her claims.
From Muzaffarnagar, the authorities were able to get medical records pertaining to the purported abortions.

The lady filed the police report after Mishra allegedly engaged in sexual activity with her during this visit before leaving her.

The arrest comes after the Delhi High Court, which has already reviewed the matter, denied Mishra’s request for bail.
