The prices of domestic LPG cylinders were last reduced in March 2024. After this, the price of LPG has remained stable in the last 11 months and no change has been made in it.
From the national capital Delhi to Mumbai and Chennai, the prices of gas cylinders have come down from April 1, 2025, in all metros. A reduction of up to Rs 40 has been announced in commercial gas cylinders. Whereas, there has been no change in domestic gas cylinders. Last month, the prices of commercial gas cylinders were increased.
The prices of domestic LPG cylinders were last reduced in March 2024. After this, the price of LPG has remained stable in the last 11 months and no change has been made in it.
According to the information received from the country's largest petroleum company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of commercial gas cylinder in the national capital Delhi has now become Rs 1762 and it has been reduced by Rs 41. Whereas in Kolkata, after a reduction of Rs 44 50 paise, the new price of commercial gas cylinder has become Rs 1868.50.
Whereas, in the country's financial capital Mumbai, the price of commercial gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs 42, after which it has now become Rs 1713 50 paise. On the other hand, if we talk about Chennai, after a reduction of Rs 43 50 paise, the new price of the cylinder has become Rs 1921 50 paise.
Here, if we talk about the prices of domestic gas cylinder, at present it is available in Delhi at Rs 803, Mumbai at Rs 802 50 paise, Kolkata at Rs 829 and Chennai at Rs 818 50 paise. On March 9, 2024, the price of domestic gas cylinder was reduced by about Rs 100.
It is worth noting that the prices of domestic and commercial gas cylinders are reviewed by the government oil companies at the beginning of every month and then a decision is taken on its prices. In such a situation, once again at the beginning of the new financial year, the oil companies have given a shock to the people on commercial cylinders.
Last month i.e. on March 1, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were increased by Rs 6 by the oil companies. The movement in the prices of crude oil in the international oil market has a direct impact on the domestic market.
