Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 2: Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna's Film Sees Slight Jump, Earns ₹29 Crore On Eid Holiday

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's newest Eid outing, Sikandar, saw a slight jump in its box office numbers on the second day after a disappointing opening on Sunday. Despite the Eid holiday on Monday, the film managed to earn Rs 29 crore on Day 2, which is just Rs 3 crore more than its first day.According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Sikandar had a total occupancy of just about 24.6 per cent across the whole of India on Monday. This, inspite of the makers and Salman himself going all out and promoting it as 'Bhai's Eid gift' to his fans. With the Rs 29 crore on Monday, the film's total box office collection has now mounted to Rs 55 crore in India.During the promotions of Sikandar, Salman had said that he was sure the film will make Rs 200 crore at any cost, but going by the numbers, it now looks like a tough milestone to reach.Sikandar has clearly failed to beat the likes of Chhaava, the biggest blockbuster of the year so far, and even his own films like Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan and others. However, the one film Sikandar's collection did manage to beat is Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.Sikandar was touted to be a complete Bollywood masala entertainer, with copious amounts of romance, action and emotions, but netizens instead termed it to be a snoozefest. It is to be noted that the film marks Salman's first collaboration with Ghajini director AR Murugadoss, who gave Bollywood its first Rs 100 core film. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, who has not seen a single flop in her career in the past couple of years. Besides, it also stars well-known faces like Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj and Prateik Babbar in key roles.
