Netflix viewers can stream 'one of the best shows ever made' this month

This April, a popular noughties medical drama is making its way to , 13 years after its final episode aired. House, which originally premiered in 2004, follows the story of Dr. Gregory House.

The character is a brilliant yet cynical doctor played by Hugh Laurie, who navigates his way through complex medical cases while struggling with his own addiction.

The show, which is currently available on Prime Video, will be available to stream on Netflix from April 1.

The series is set in the fictional Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey, where Dr. House uses his exceptional skills to solve baffling medical mysteries, often while clashing with his colleagues.

The show's synopsis reads: "At fictional Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey, prickly genius Dr. Gregory House tackles health mysteries as would a medical Sherlock Holmes, all the while playing mind games with colleagues that include his best friend, oncologist James Wilson.

"House, an acerbic infectious disease specialist, solves medical puzzles with the help of a team of young diagnosticians. Flawless instincts and unconventional thinking help earn House great respect, despite his brutal honesty and antisocial tendencies."

During its initial run, House received widespread critical acclaim and won numerous awards, including two Golden Globes and five Primetime Emmys. The show boasts an impressive 89 per cent positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with many viewers praising its engaging storylines and exceptional performances, reports .
