Skoda Auto India has achieved a major milestone in its 25th anniversary year, setting a new record for its highest-ever monthly sales. In March 2025, the company sold 7,422 units, marking its best performance since entering the Indian market.
This sales surge follows the recent launch of the all-new Kylaq SUV and the appointment of Bollywood star Ranveer Singh as Skoda’s first-ever Brand Superstar. These strategic moves have boosted the brand’s visibility and strengthened its presence in the competitive Indian automotive market.
Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, expressed his thoughts on the sales milestone, stating, “With the launch of the all-new Kylaq, we committed to a ‘New Era’ in our India journey. Achieving sales of 7,422 cars in March 2025 is a testament to this vision coming to life, driven by sustained planning, dedicated efforts, and a strategy focused on making European technology more accessible on Indian roads. Customer feedback highlights that the Kylaq offers an outstanding price-value proposition, bringing premium comfort, space, and safety from a higher segment into the sub-4-metre SUV category. To make this experience available to more customers and celebrate Kylaq’s success, we have decided to extend the introductory pricing until the end of April.”
Skoda Auto India’s record-breaking sales in March 2025 were significantly driven by the strong demand for the Kylaq, the brand’s first sub-4-metre SUV. The Kylaq was unveiled in November 2024, following a public naming campaign, and its deliveries commenced in January 2025. Positioned as the entry-level model in Skoda’s lineup, it upholds the brand’s commitment to safety, joining the Kushaq and Slavia with a five-star safety rating. While the Kushaq and Slavia were tested by Global NCAP, the Kylaq recently secured its rating under Bharat NCAP, reinforcing Skoda’s focus on delivering safe and high-quality vehicles in India.
To meet the growing demand, Skoda Auto India is rapidly scaling up production of the Kylaq. With over 15,000 active bookings, the company aims to fulfill all pending deliveries by the end of May. This accelerated production ramp-up ensures that customers receive their vehicles on time while maintaining Skoda’s quality and safety standards.
