The family, originally from Yadgir and working as laborers in Bengaluru, was traveling back home from the city when the horrific crash occurred. Police officials have stated that the car was en route from Bengaluru to Yadgir when it veered off course, leading to the tragic outcome. The Rampur police station, under whose jurisdiction the accident occurred, is investigating the cause of the incident.
The collision occurred near Sulibele, on Satellite Town Ring Road, at around 10 AM. The vehicle was reportedly being driven by Venu, a 30-something man who was consulting Google Maps while operating the vehicle at high speed.
The deceased has been identified as Dr. Amar Prasad, a dentist from Hyderabad. Dr. Pravalika, also a Hyderabad resident, and her spouse Venu sustained injuries in the crash.
Police reports indicate that the SUV overturned three times after slamming into the stationary truck, which had been parked on the roadside by its driver during a brief refreshment break.
The crash left significant damage to the SUV, resulting in Dr. Prasad’s immediate death at the scene. The group was on their way to visit a temple in Palani, Tamil Nadu, when the accident occurred.
