The Department of Legal Affairs (DOLA) of the Government of India has announced a special internship program for 2025. This internship is a golden opportunity for law students and graduates.

Students can get real experience in the world of law by working in government offices here. This program will allow students to work in different law fields, which will help them a lot in making a career in the future.

Who can apply?

Students who are citizens of India and are studying law at a recognized institute can apply for this internship. Especially those students who have completed the second year of a three-year LLB degree or the third year of a five-year degree are eligible for this internship.

Apart from this, students who have completed their LLB studies can also apply. Candidates having general knowledge of computers like MS Office, Adobe or Infographics will be given priority in selection.

Duration and Experience

This internship will be for one month and will start on the first working day of every month. During this time, students will get an opportunity to work in various fields like Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Financial Law, Labor Law, Infrastructure Law, Economic Law, and Arbitration and Contract Law.

This experience will not only enhance the knowledge of the students but will also help them understand how government law institutes work.

How to apply?

Interested candidates have to fill out an online application form. If a student is still studying, he will have to submit an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from his institute. At the same time, those who have completed law studies will have to submit their final year certificate.

Selection Process and Certificate

A maximum of 50 students will be selected every month. Selected candidates will be informed through email or the internship portal. After completing the internship, students will be given a government certificate, which will prove useful in their careers. However, at least 90% attendance and satisfactory performance will be required for this.

Stipend and posting location

After the internship is over, students will also be given a stipend of ₹ 1000. Selected interns can be posted in different cities of the country, such as the Chief Secretariat of New Delhi, the Central Agency Department of the Supreme Court, the Litigation Department of Delhi High Court, and branch offices in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru.
