Halfway there to knocking out the holders, Arsenal aim to finish the job against Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
Mikel Arteta masterminded a tremendous 3-0 victory in last week’s opening encounter at the Emirates, where two outrageous Declan Rice free kicks preceded a tidy Mikel Merino finish in North London.
However, Champions League nights at the Bernabeu are never a foregone conclusion, and the Gunners were dealt a few more fitness blows in the weekend’s 1-1 Premier League draw with Brentford.
