Mumbai: The production team behind the eagerly awaited horror action-comedy, The Bhootnii, has announced a change in its release schedule.

Originally set to premiere on April 18, 2025, the film will now hit theaters on May 1, 2025. The crew is currently focused on enhancing the visual effects to ensure an exceptional viewing experience.

In a playful announcement regarding the new release date, the makers stated, "While humans can set dates for love, the arrival of the Bhootnii is a mystery only it knows! It was supposed to come on April 18, but now it’s coming on May 1. Get ready! #TheBhootnii – in cinemas May 1, 2025!"

Had it been released on the original date, The Bhootnii would have faced competition from Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 at the box office.

Recently, Navneet Malik, who portrays a younger version of Sanjay Dutt in the film, shared the difficulties he encountered while preparing for his role.

Discussing his experience, Navneet expressed, "Working alongside the legendary Sanjay Dutt has been a true honor. In this film, I’m taking on the role of Sanjay Dutt himself. However, I won’t disclose too much about my character just yet. I hope everyone visits the theater to see the film, and then we can discuss it!"
