Amarnath Yatra 2025: The recent terrorist attack in the litigants of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir has shook the entire country. 27 people have been reported to be killed and more than 17 people were injured in this attack. While there is an atmosphere of fear among the tourists visiting Kashmir after this attack, on the other hand people are restless to know whether it will affect the upcoming Amarnath Yatra too?

Travel will not be canceled, government trust

The government has made it clear that the Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3 will not be canceled. Jammu and Kashmir Deputy CM Surinder Chaudhary has assured the devotees that the yatra will be completely safe and there is no need to fear them.

New security scheme implemented

The government has prepared a new and strong security plan for this visit. Under this, a special central command center has been built which will monitor 24 hours. Special arrangements have been made on drones, electronic surveillance and transit camps. Apart from this, the number of security forces is also being increased so that any emergency can be dealt with. The movement of tourists in sensitive areas like Pahalgam and Sonamarg can be limited.

Information and impact of the attack

It is believed that 8 to 10 terrorists were involved in this attack, many of whom came from Pakistan and some also got local help. The terrorists were talking in the local language so that it could not be identified. Although there is confusion and fear among the people about the Amarnath Yatra due to this terrorist attack, the government and administration's effort is to make the atmosphere of the journey completely peaceful and safe.

What will be the effect?

However, the impact of Pahalgam attack will not be limited to the Amarnath Yatra. It can also affect Vaishno Devi Yatra and Kashmir tourism. There are reports of booking cancellation from now on. But the indication from the government is clear that religious visits to Kashmir will continue and they will be made safe.
