Sharvari Becomes Young Fit India Icon, Promotes Cycling Initiative

Sharvari's New Role as Young Fit India Icon

Mumbai, June 2: Bollywood star Sharvari has been named the Young Fit India Icon by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. She participated in the Fit India initiative 'Sundays on Cycle', which she described as a significant addition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India Movement.


During the 25th edition of the event, Sharvari received her title from Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, who leads the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.


Sharvari expressed her enthusiasm about her new role, stating, "It is a privilege to be recognized as the Young Fit India Icon by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and our esteemed Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya."


She shared her excitement about being involved in the Sundays on Cycle initiative, which aims to promote fitness and environmental awareness through cycling.


"Participating in this wonderful initiative that encourages fitness and environmental protection through cycling is truly thrilling. It aligns perfectly with our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s Fit India Movement, and I am proud to contribute to it," she remarked.


On the film front, Sharvari is set to appear in the upcoming movie “Alpha,” alongside actress Alia Bhatt. Directed by Shiv Rawail, this film will be the seventh installment in Yash Raj Films' spy universe.


This cinematic universe began with the “Tiger” series featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, starting with “Ek Tha Tiger” and followed by “Tiger Zinda Hai.” The saga has expanded with films like "War," “Pathaan,” and “Tiger 3,” with future projects including “War 2,” directed by Ayan Mukerji, “Pathaan 2,” and “Tiger vs. Pathaan.”


Sharvari's last appearance was in the action drama Vedaa, directed by Nikkhil Advani and based on true events. The film, inspired by the Bengali movie Sultan: The Saviour, also features John Abraham, Abhishek Banerjee, Ashish Vidyarthi, Kumud Mishra, Rajendra Chawla, Tanvi Malhara, Anurag Thakur, and Urvashi Dubey.
