Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh cabinet meeting has started at the Raj Bhavan in Pachmarhi. Tribal Affairs Minister Vijay Shah is not attending the meeting. This is the third consecutive cabinet meeting in which Shah is not present after making a controversial statement on Colonel Sophia Qureshi.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Pachmarhi on Tuesday afternoon. He met the mango producing farmers here. After this the cabinet meeting has started.
In this meeting to be held in the memory of Pachmarhi's Jagirdar Raja Bhabhut Singh, the guerilla war with the British and other heroic stories will be discussed. In the meeting, a decision can be taken to install a statue in the memory of Bhabhut Singh and name institutions and parks in his name.
On Monday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Raja Bhabhut Singh had helped the great freedom fighter Tatya Tope during the freedom struggle. On the call of Tatya Tope, he lit the torch of freedom in the valleys of Satpura.
Raja Bhabhut Singh, throwing dust in the eyes of the British, crossed the Narmada river with Tatya Tope near Sandia, the mythological Tapobhoomi of Rishi Shandilya, in the last week of October 1858.
The CM said - Bhabhut Singh and Tatya Tope planned the freedom movement in Narmadachal. In the lap of Satpura in Pachmarhi, Tatya Tope met Bhabhut Singh with his army and camped for 8 days and kept preparing for further action.
Bhabhut Singh, the Jagirdar of Harrakot, had a great influence on the tribal society. He prepared the tribal society for the freedom movement. His heroic history will be remembered.
Half of the ministers of Mohan's cabinet reached Pachmarhi at night for the cabinet meeting. These include Deputy CM Jagdish Devda, Minister Govind Rajput and other ministers. Some ministers have reached Pachmarhi this morning.
Public Works Department Minister and Minister in charge of Narmadapuram Rakesh Singh reached Pachmarhi on Monday afternoon and kept reviewing the preparations for the cabinet meeting and making arrangements.
Along with the cabinet meeting in Pachmarhi, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and perform Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth Rs 33.88 crore related to tourism and other departments.
