Sony has announced that using Apple Pay to make purchases on the PlayStation Store is now available on PS4 and PS5. The feature has expanded to PS4 users since it was initially given to PS5 owners. Now, players can pay for games and other purchases on the console using their iPhones or iPads.
To buy a game, gamers can add it to their cart and move on to the checkout page. They can see the Apple Pay button with all the other payment methods now. After choosing Apple Pay, the console generates a special QR code. Players can hold their iPhone or iPad near the code to pay, and Apple’s biometric authentication will confirm the payment for improved safety.
Last year, Apple added Apple Pay integration into iOS 18, and now third-party browsers such as Chrome and Firefox are compatible with it. Now, PlayStation owners can have the same security and convenience right from their consoles. It offers greater convenience and adds an extra layer of security by letting you avoid entering your payment details.
