Chennai: A woman returned Rs 20 lakh in protest against TVK President Vijay not coming to Karur. Sangvi, wife of Ramesh who died in the accident, sent this money back to TVK's bank account. Sangvi also said that he was not invited for the meeting in Mahabalipuram. Sangvi's sister-in-law Bhupathi and relatives had also reached Chennai.
Posters have also been put up against Vijay in Tiruchirappalli. Complaints that he ignored the families of killed TVK workers. The poster features photographs of Srinivasan and Kala, who were killed during the Vikravandi conference last year. This poster has been put up in the name of a community organization. It is written that both of them, who worked for Vijay for 15 years, were forgotten and both their families became orphans.
Vijay apologized to the families of those killed in the Karur accident. He made this apology while meeting the families of those killed in the stampede during his rally. Female relatives of those killed said that Vijay touched their feet and apologized. Vijay also said in the meeting that he did not understand what had happened in Karur. He also apologized for not being able to come to his house in Karur.

Vijay made it clear that he had asked everyone to come to Chennai only to talk in detail. Vijay spoke to the families of those killed in Karur from 9 am to evening yesterday at a resort in Mahabalipuram.
A total of 37 families had reached Mahabalipuram. This was the first time after the accident that Vijay met the victims' families directly. Vijay has assured all the families of financial help and help in studies of the children. Vijay met each family individually in a resort with about 50 rooms booked by TVK. Vijay promised all kinds of help including education of the affected children.
Last month, 41 people were killed in a stampede during a TVK rally. In this case, CBI has started investigation on the instructions of the Supreme Court. A committee of three members has also been formed under the leadership of retired Supreme Court judge Ajay Rastogi to monitor the CBI investigation.
