Google is going to make photo editing more fun for users. A new feature named Me Meme is soon being added to Google Photos, with the help of which users will be able to create personalized memes from their own photos. This feature will be based on generative AI, which will convert photos into different meme templates. This feature can be quite interesting for social media sharing and fun with friends.
Me Meme is a new generative AI feature of Google Photos, which converts the user's selected photo into meme format. Pre-existing popular meme templates will be available in it, in which photos can be easily fitted. That means users can convert photos into funny memes in just a few clicks. Users will be able to decide for themselves which photo to use and what kind of meme to create. This feature will become a part of existing Google AI tools like Create with AI, Remix and Collage.
Me Meme feature identifies the user's photo with the help of AI and sets it in the fixed meme layout. After this, users can make text, caption and other small changes to make the meme seem more personal. Google says that this feature will not automatically create any meme without the user's permission. The entire process will be under the control of the user, due to which privacy will also be maintained.
To use Me Meme, it will be necessary to first update the Google Photos app. After this the user will have to choose the photo of his choice and go to the Create option. The Meme option will appear there, from where a template can be selected or your own design can be added. After making text and other changes, the meme will be ready, which can be shared on social media or with friends.
Google has made it clear that the Me Meme feature is being rolled out step by step. In such a situation, if this feature is not visible to all users yet, then there is no need to panic. The company has also said that AI will work only on those photos which the user himself selects. No meme will be created automatically without user initiative.
