IIT Admission, JEE: IIT Madras has launched its Summer Fellowship Program 2026. This is a two-month program that gives students of engineering, science, humanities, and management the opportunity to conduct research with IIT Madras faculty. This program is designed to cultivate research interest among students and provide them with experience working on real-world projects.

When will the program run?
The Summer Fellowship Program will run from May 18, 2026, to July 17, 2026, for a total of two months.

How much stipend will be provided?
Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month. Hostel and mess facilities will also be available, but on a paid basis, meaning separate charges will apply, and availability will depend on the number of seats.

Who can apply?

This program is for students who are currently in:
The third year of Engineering (BE, BTech, BSc Engineering).
The third year of a three-year BSc in Science (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics).
The third or fourth year of an Integrated or Dual Degree (ME, MTech, MSc).
The first year of MSc, MA, and MBA, but their academic record must be outstanding. IIT students are not eligible to apply.

What documents need to be uploaded?
A recent passport-sized photograph
Aadhaar Card
Category Certificate (if applicable)
A bona fide certificate from the institution
Consolidated mark sheets from Class 10 onwards (soft copy)
Fill the form, as incomplete forms will be rejected.
After submission, you can view your application by logging into the portal.
Credentials will be sent to the registered email address.
There is no need to send hard copies to IIT Madras.
