Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the future of Indian cricket. Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the future of world cricket. But in which team is the future of Vaibhav himself in IPL? Will Vaibhav pursue his cricket in Rajasthan Royals only? Will he continue his journey in the team which gave him recognition? This question seems a little early at the moment but it is not so early because in just one year this young batsman has left his mark on cricket around the world. In such a situation, the remaining 9 teams of IPL would also not want to miss any opportunity to make him their own. In such a situation, can he be the next 'poster boy' of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after Virat Kohli?
At least that's what Vaibhav Suryavanshi's childhood coach Manish Ojha believes and he feels that the 15-year-old star batsman's next destination in the IPL could be current champion Bengaluru. In an exclusive conversation with TV9, coach Manish Ojha said that whenever the next mega auction of IPL takes place, Royal Challengers Bangalore can give everything for his superstar disciple. Especially because of Virat Kohli, this can be done to maintain the brand value of the franchise in the future.
Vaibhav learned the 'A,B,G...' of cricket from Manish Ojha, who runs 'Genex' Academy in Patna, the capital of Bihar. In such a situation, he knows a lot about Vaibhav and also understands that every team will be desperate to include this star in their team. In an interview with TV9 before the match between Rajasthan and Bengaluru, Ojha said, "(Vaibhav) will play against his future team. If Virat Kohli goes in the future, then they (RCB) will also need a new role model."
Referring to the mega auction to be held before the 2028 season, Ojha said that RCB can bet on him there. He said, "There is a mega auction next year (end of 2027). Every team needs a brand ambassador. As long as Vaibhav and Yashasvi play in Rajasthan Royals, we watch them and then switch off the TV. Who likes to watch after Dhoni in Chennai. It is possible that RCB will try its best to buy Vaibhav."
So will Vaibhav's next team really be RCB? If we understand the methodology of the auction and its contribution in creating the glory of Rajasthan Royals, then this is not a possibility at present. In fact, before every mega auction, every team has the option to retain 4-5 players. In such a situation, Rajasthan Royals will not release Vaibhav under any circumstances. Now if Vaibhav requests to release himself then the story may be different. There is definitely a possibility that the Royals will have to spend Rs 10-12 crores to retain Vaibhav but there is no possibility of him leaving the team at the moment.
