The wait for Tusharlinga darshan in the deep recesses of the Himalayas is about to end. The schedule of Amarnath Yatra 2026 has been announced. This long-awaited pilgrimage is starting from July 3. According to Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board sources, this year the yatra will continue for 57 consecutive days. This journey will end on August 28 on the eve of Rakhi Purnima. The gathering of lakhs of devotees is already in full swing in the Rab Valley.

Before the official start of the Yatra, the ‘Pratham Puja’ will be celebrated in a spiritual atmosphere. This year’s Maha Yajna will begin with the blessings of Lord Shiva on the first full moon day on June 29.

How to register?
For the convenience of pilgrims, the administration has decided to start the registration process from April 15. Fans can register through both online and offline modes. 554 branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Yes Bank have been designated for offline registration. Apart from this, the application can be done at home through the shrine board’s own website and mobile app.

However, it is not easy to step on the difficult path of Amarnath. So the board is giving special importance to physical ability. It is mandatory for every pilgrim to submit a compulsory health certificate or ‘Health Certificate’ issued by an authorized doctor. No one will be allowed to travel without this certificate. Both the traditional Pahalgaon and the relatively short Baltal – both routes remain open.

According to the administration, there will be no compromise in the safety and comfort of the pilgrims. Construction of langars, medical camps and temporary housing has already started on both sides of the road. Pilgrims are advised to carry enough warm clothes and essential medicines with them to deal with inclement weather. Shaivite devotees have already started preparing to see Mahadev hiding in the mountain crevice. In the morning of April 15, the final drive of registration will begin for that purpose.
