ISTANBUL: Turkish television actress Ece Ertem, known for her role in the popular drama One Love, has passed away at the age of 35, just a day after celebrating her birthday, leaving fans and the entertainment industry in shock.

According to Turkish media reports, the actress was found unconscious at her home on Monday afternoon while she was with her mother. She reportedly experienced a sudden medical emergency and could not be revived despite immediate efforts.

Her lawyer, Ugur Gok Koyun, said preliminary medical assessments suggest that she may have died due to a heart attack, although a full investigation is ongoing. He also dismissed circulating social media claims that the actress had taken her own life, stressing that the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the post-mortem report.

Ertem had celebrated her 35th birthday only a day earlier, making the sudden news of her death even more distressing for fans and colleagues. Tributes have since poured in across social media, with admirers expressing grief over the loss of the rising star.

Born in Sivas in 1991, Ertem completed her studies in opera and vocal performance before training in acting in Istanbul. She rose to prominence through her performance in One Love, where she played the character “Asil,” earning recognition as one of Turkey’s emerging talents in the television industry.
