Laddu Gopal Bhog in Monsoon: In Hindu tradition, the child form of Lord Krishna i.e. Laddu Gopal is kept as a member of the house. Just as we change our lifestyle, eating habits and clothes as the seasons change, similarly the rules for serving Laddu Gopal also change according to the seasons. According to Drik Panchang, this year the month of Ashadh will start from 30th June and will continue till 29th July. The month of Ashadha brings with it scorching heat, humidity and the beginning of monsoon rains. In such a season, to ensure that Thakur ji does not face any inconvenience, it is very important to make some special changes in the rules of his service, bhog and adornment. Let us know how to serve Laddu Gopal in the month of Ashadha and what mistakes should be avoided.

Why do the rules of service change in Ashadh?

Ashadh is considered to be the beginning of the rainy season. In this season, humidity increases in the environment, due to which food can spoil quickly and clothes can become damp. For this reason, some changes are made in the service of Laddu Gopal according to the season. There is a religious belief that service to God should also be according to the season.

Take care of fresh and healthy food

In the month of Ashadha, always offer only fresh and satvik food to Laddu Gopal. Bhog or stale food kept for a long time should not be offered. Offering fruits, sugar candy, butter, fresh sweets made from milk and home-made satvik food is considered auspicious. After offering Bhog, do not keep it in the temple for long.

wear clean and dry clothes

Clothes may become damp during the rainy season. Therefore, always dress Laddu Gopal in clean, dry and fragrant clothes. If the clothes are light cotton then it is considered even better. Avoid wearing wet or damp clothes.

Clean the temple and place of worship daily

Special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the temple during Ashadha. Due to moisture, dust, dampness or fungus may accumulate in the worship place. Clean the temple daily and keep all the puja materials in a clean and dry place.

Be careful while anointing

If you bathe Laddu Gopal every day, then avoid using very cold water during Ashadha. Take bath with clean water of normal temperature. After bathing, wipe them thoroughly with a soft and clean cloth and then make them wear new clothes.

Don't forget to offer Tulsi Dal

The worship of Lord Shri Krishna is considered incomplete without Tulsi Dal. Therefore, in the month of Ashadh, one must offer Tulsi Dal along with Bhog. However, basil leaves should not be plucked on the day of Dwadashi. If necessary, you can break the basil leaves a day in advance and keep them aside.

Avoid these mistakes

Do not keep stale bhog in front of Laddu Gopal in the month of Ashadh. Do not leave the place of worship dirty or scattered. Do not keep God's clothes without changing them for a long time and do not wear wet clothes at all. One should not be hasty or careless while performing puja. Service should always be done with devotion, love and rules.

Which offerings are considered auspicious in Ashadh?

This month, butter-mishri, panchamrit, fresh seasonal fruits, kheer, dry fruits, makhana, milk sweets and satvik food can be offered to Laddu Gopal. Bhog should be prepared at home with purity and cleanliness.
