Tujuannya untuk membantu siswa memahami materi yang sedang dipelajari.
Dengan adanya kunci jawaban ini, siswa dapat membandingkan hasil pekerjaan mereka dengan jawaban yang benar, sehingga lebih mudah menemukan kesalahan dan memperbaikinya.

Pada buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas 5 halaman 163-164 Kurikulum Merdeka yang ditulis oleh Ika Lestari Damayanti, dkk dan diterbitkan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi tahun 2021, terdapat latihan yang berkaitan dengan materi Bab 6, yaitu Reading a Lot of Stories.

Narrator 1: After the mouse deer reached the other side of the river, he ran quickly to the fruit. He (1) ate a lot of fruit.
Narrator 2: But, the day was getting darker. The mouse deer had to come back. He (2) went back to the river.
The crocodile: "There you are. Now, you can't run again. You will be our dinner," (3) said the crocodiles.
The mouse deer: "I know. I just ate a lot of fruit. Now, I am bigger," said the mouse deer. "But wait, I have to make sure that there are still five of you," (4) said the mouse deer.
Narrator 1: The mouse deer (5) jumped onto the crocodile's back and (6) said, "one, two, three ..."

Narrator 2: He (7) kept jumping and counting until he (8) reached back to the other side of the river.
The crocodile: "Now, what is my part?" (9) asked the crocodiles.
The mouse deer: "I don't think I am enough for you all. Just wait for a larger lunch. Thanks for helping me cross the river," said the mouse deer.
Narrator 1: The mouse deer (10) ran into the forest.
