Already, a few days since its China launch, the Redmi Note 14 Pro series is on its march to the global market. Specs of the cameras that will be expected in the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+ variants have surfaced within the HyperOS codebase. It indicates that global models may end up having a camera upgrade over their counterparts back in China. Nevertheless, the changes may miss the Indian edition. Here is what we know thus far:

Camera changes on Redmi Note 14 Pro (global)

XiaomiTime has found camera specs of Redmi Note 14 Pro global version while digging in the HyperOS code :

  • The main camera appears to be a Samsung S5KHP3, better known in the world of social media as ISOCELL HP3. It is a 200MP sensor, with a sensor size of 1/1.4-inch, 0.56-micron pixel size, Super QPD for autofocus, and triple ISO for HDR computations. Meanwhile, the Chinese version has been equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with a 1/1.96-inch sensor size and 0.8-micron pixel size.
  • Its third camera might be the same as Chinese variant – 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor with a field of view of 120˚, with a sensor size of 1/4.0-inch and a pixel size of 1.12-micron.
  • The third camera for Redmi Note 14 Pro+ would be the same 2MP macro module (OmniVision OV02B10) which was found in Chinese camera setup.
  • Changes on Redmi Note 14 Pro+ for global markets

Like the Pro, the Pro+ receives an update for its primary camera to a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor. The Chinese model still utilizes a 50MP OmniVision OVX8000 sensor with 1/1.55-inch sensor size and 1.0-micron pixel size.

The third camera on the Pro+ will be a 2MP macro camera. The Chinese model carries a 50MP JN1 telephoto camera instead. Apparently, the telephoto lens is exclusive to Indian buyers.

What else awaits from the Redmi Note 14 Pro series

The two smartphones will supposedly share the same chipset and display configuration as their Chinese counterparts. This means:

  • Pro+ may sport the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro may get a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chip.
  • The frontal can also have the same 6.67-inch curved OLED panel with 1.5K resolution, HDR support, and 120Hz refresh rate on both.
  • At the same time, these phones may boast of up to IP69 dust and water resistance for protection.
