Navratri is more than just a holiday; it’s a party for style, color, and culture! It’s time to step up your beauty game as the season of dancing, love, and flashy clothes comes. Your hair and makeup should be as festive as you are, whether you’re dancing the Garba or the Dandiya. If you want to shine from head to toe this year, the trends mix old and new, showing off your style.

Hair Styles

For Navratri, your hair should have a lot of thickness and structure. Pralambika Nagar, founder of Prishé Beauty, says, “Loose waves or soft curls give your traditional clothes more movement and grace, especially if you’re dancing Garba or Dandiya.” Also, braids are still a popular choice for parties. You can get simple single braids with flowers added to them or more complicated fishtail braids that look classy.

Head of Training and Development at CUT&STYLE Salon, Twinkle Deol, says that braided hair bands are very hot right now. “Styles like French braids and cornrows make any outfit look more sophisticated,” she says. “They’re great for parties during the day or at night, and you can make them look even more festive by adding marigold or jasmine strands.”

This season, hair accessories are making a statement if you want to do something more bold. Think of pins with embellishments, maang tikas, and hats with jewels that can tie the whole holiday outfit together.

Trends in Makeup

When it comes to makeup, the look is all about dewy skin and bold eyes. Pralambika says that lightweight makeup and highlighters can help you get a “flawless, glowing complexion” that will make you look great all night. Metallic eyeshadows in gold, copper, and bronze are very popular right now. They make your eyes look stunning, great for the holidays. For a bold look, you need to use wing makeup and black line your eyes.

Always choose bright reds, deep maroons, or soft pinks for your lips. These colors go with both traditional and modern clothes, so you can wear them to any Navratri party.

Our skin trainer at CUT&STYLE Salon, Palak Gupta, has seen a trend this year toward less makeup. She warns, “Heavy makeup can be distracting during the holiday season.” “Cheeks that are flushed and eyeliner that is smudged, along with a dewy base, is all you need to look beautiful.”

This year’s Navratri beauty trends are mostly about keeping things simple and elegant. You can create a classic look that goes well with your holiday clothes by leaving your hair natural and putting on little makeup. “Keeping things simple lets your outfits and the celebration shine,” says Twinkle Deol.

Navratri is a time to celebrate and show who you are. Try different hair and makeup looks, and let your individual style show how lively the event is. These beauty trends will help you look and feel your best while you party, whether you like to go for a dramatic look or a simple one.
