The case of the murder of a Dalit teacher's family in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh is in the headlines. Till now, nothing has been clear about who the murderer is. But in the meantime, the father of the deceased teacher has lodged an FIR against a person named Chandan Verma accusing him of murder. The police are investigating this murder case closely. Meanwhile, the post-mortem report of all the four bodies has also come out. It has been revealed that the murderer had fired a total of seven bullets at the family.

A panel of two doctors has prepared the post-mortem report of all four bodies. According to the doctors, Dalit teacher Sunil Bharti was hit by three bullets, his wife Poonam was hit by two bullets, and both the children were hit by one bullet each. That means a total of seven bullets were fired and the Bharti family was wiped out.

This murder was committed on Thursday night. Teacher Sunil Bharti used to teach at Panauhana Composite School of Singhpur block. His wife and two children also lived here. The family had rented a house in Shri Satyabrata Awasthi's house in Ahorva Bhavani. This family was shot dead on Thursday night. The reason for the murder has not been revealed yet.

But Sunil's father Ram Gopal has registered a case against Chandan Verma, a resident of Rae Bareli. According to the FIR lodged by Ram Gopal, when Sunil lived in Rae Bareli, he had a dispute with Chandan Verma. On the 18th of August, Sunil's wife Poonam went to show her daughter to Sumitra Hospital in Rae Bareli. While returning from there, Poonam registered a case of molestation, assault, and SC/ST against Chandan Verma at Rae Bareli City police station. Poonam had also said in the complaint that if anything happens to her or her family, Chandan Verma should be held responsible for it.

How many people did he kill?

At present, the police are investigating the case from this angle as well. It is not clear yet whether the murder was committed by one person or more people. Chandan will be questioned. Also, the police will investigate by going to Rae Bareli where Sunil used to live earlier. It is possible that the murder case is linked to this place.
