In Amethi, UP, Dalit school teacher Sunil Bharti and four members of his family were brutally shot dead. The teacher's father has filed a case against Chandan Verma. The case has been registered at Shiv Ratan Ganj police station. This gruesome murder was committed on Thursday night. After the incident, the accused fled from the spot. Apart from Sunil Bharti, the deceased include his wife Poonam, and two daughters Shruti and Laado.

In the FIR lodged by Ram Gopal, he said- My son Sunil used to teach in a primary school in Panuna. He lived with his family on rent in Shri Satyabrata Awasthi's house in Ahorva Bhavani. A few days ago, there was a dispute between my son Sunil and Chandan Verma in Raebareli. My daughter-in-law Poonam was also present there at that time. Due to the same resentment, Chandan Verma killed my son and his family.

At present, the police have registered a case and started further action. SP Anoop Singh said that around 18 August, Sunil Bharti's wife Poonam had filed a case against a person named Chandan Verma in Raebareli Kotwali under molestation and SC/ST Act. We are now investigating whether this case has any connection with these murders.

The deceased Sunil Bharti was a resident of Sudamapur village of Jagatpur police station area of ​​​​Raebareli district. Sunil was a constable in UP Police before becoming a government teacher. In 2020, he was selected for the post of government teacher. Then Sunil resigned from UP Police and joined the post of teacher. Sunil was posted in Panauhana Composite School of Singhpur block of Amethi district adjacent to Raebareli. Sunil started teaching children here.

Sunil's wife had filed an FIR for molestation.

Sunil took a room for rent at Ahorwa Bhavani crossing the Shivratanganj police station area and started living there with his family. Sunil's family consisted of his wife Poonam Bharti and two daughters Shruti (6) and a two-year-old daughter Laado. On 18th August this year, Sunil's wife Poonam went to Sumitra Hospital in Raebareli to show her daughter. While returning from there, Poonam registered a case of molestation, assault, and SC/ST against Chandan Verma in Raebareli city police station.

Chandan will be questioned.

A few days later, on Thursday night, Sunil, his wife Poonam, and their two daughters were shot dead. This murder was committed in Sunil's rented room. According to SP Anoop Singh, Shivratanganj police station received information that an unknown person had shot and killed four people. When the police team reached the spot and investigated, there was no sign of any scattered items or loot in the house. The accused had come to Sunil's room only with the intention of murder and fled after committing the crime.

At present, the police are busy investigating the murder. It is not yet known whether the crime was committed by one person or there were other people involved. But now Sunil's father has filed a case against Chandan Verma, so the police will take action against him. Chandan will be questioned in the case.

CM Adityanath said this

Regarding this murder, CM Yogi Adityanath said- The incident that happened in Amethi is highly condemnable and unforgivable. My condolences are with the bereaved family. In this hour of grief, the UP government stands with the victim's family. The culprits of this incident will not be spared at any cost, strict legal action will be taken against them. Apart from this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, BSP supremo Mayawati, and Amethi MP Kishori Lal Sharma also expressed grief over the incident.
