Ujjwala Yojana: The government will provide free cylinders to women as a gift on Diwali.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana: The Government of India runs schemes for crores of people of the country according to their different needs. Crores of people of the country get the benefit of government schemes. There are still some places in the country where people use earthen stoves to cook food, but under the Ujjwala Yojana of the Government of India, gas connections (LPG Cylinder Free Connection) are being provided to those women.
When was the Ujjwala scheme started
The Government of India started the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in 2016. Under this scheme, free gas cylinders are delivered to women. In which cylinder and gas stove are provided free. Not only this, if you get the cylinder refilled again after this, then subsidy is given by the government.
Who can apply?
Women eligible for the scheme can apply by visiting the nearest government agency in their area. Apart from this, they can also apply online for the Ujjwala scheme by visiting the nearest CSC center.
In which state will we get free gas
Before Diwali, the government has arranged free cylinders as a gift for women. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced to give free cylinders to women taking benefit under the Ujjwala scheme. As per the announcement made by the government, free cylinders will be provided to all women before Diwali.
