According to News 1the couple decided to relocate to Seoul in late September after spending 11 years living on Jeju Island. The move was driven by their upcoming artistic projects and professional commitments.

Sources revealed that they had previously purchased a villa along with an adjacent plot of land in the neighborhood for over 6 billion won (US$4.5 million). The villa spans a total floor area of 330 square meters, featuring two above-ground floors and a basement. Meanwhile, much of the land space is reserved for a garden where they plan to grow plants and keep pets, preserving aspects of their Jeju lifestyle.

Pyeongchang, situated at the base of Bukhansan Mountain in Seoul, is regarded as one of South Korea’s two most prestigious neighborhoods, alongside Seongbuk district. Known for its clean air, peaceful environment, and distinctive, spacious architecture, the area attracts wealthy residents, including prominent figures in business, politics, entertainment, and the expatriate community.

Famous residents of Pyeongchang include musician Yoon Jong Shin, iconic singer Seo Tai Ji, actor couples Kim Hye Soo and Yoo Hae Jin, as well as Choi Soo Jong and Ha Hee Ra.

Lee Hyori, 45, made her debut in the entertainment industry in 1998 as a member of the popular girl group Fin.K.L. She launched her solo career in 2003, further solidifying her place in South Korea’s music scene.

As of 2021, the South China Morning Post estimated her net worth to be between US$30-40 million.

She married Lee Sang Soon, now 50, in 2013.
