Ambala Cantt assembly seat is counted among the high profile seats in Haryana. This seat is in the possession of BJP and former state Home Minister Anil Vij is the MLA from here. Vij has become MLA from here five times. This is the sixth time he is contesting the elections. Vij is counted among the powerful leaders of Haryana BJP. Congress has fielded Piramal Pari against Vij. The trends of results on this seat will start emerging from this morning.

BJP candidate Anil Vij is counted among the prominent leaders of Haryana BJP. Vij is also considered to have a good hold in Ambala Cantt area. This is the reason why BJP has fielded Vij from this seat for the fourth consecutive time. In the last elections, there were no political parties even remotely in front of BJP on this seat, but the political atmosphere of Haryana has changed. In such a situation, a tough competition can be seen here also.

In this election, apart from BJP and Congress, JJP has fielded Avtar Kardhan and INLD has fielded Omkar Singh. The way the exit poll projections have come out, Congress can make a big play in this election. However, this is no less than a big challenge for Congress because Anil Vij is considered to have a strong hold on this seat and his popularity also dominates among the public.

What do the figures of 2019 elections say?
