This fine can increase to Rs 2 lakh for repeated violations.Obtaining a SIM card fraudulently can result in a punishment of up to 3 years or a fine of Rs 50 lakh. If someone is fraudulently obtaining a SIM card in your name, report it immediately.
ProcessYou can check the number of SIM cards linked to your Aadhaar card from the Sanchar Saathi portal.For this, first go to the website of Sanchar Saathi and then choose one of the options given on the homepage. Now click on 'Check Your Mobile Connection' and enter your 10 digit mobile number.Next, enter the captcha code and enter the OTP sent to your phone. After this process, you will be able to see the list of all registered SIM cards.
