Just after the Chief Secretary, the Development Commissioner is regarded as the second most significant position in the state bureaucracy.

The government announced the transfer of seven top bureaucrats in a notice. Former Development Commissioner Chaitanya Prasad has been moved to the General Administration Department to take on the role of Chief Investigation Commissioner. This position is usually seen as having less clout and is often awarded to individuals the government does not want to devote significant responsibility to.

Pratyay Amrit was appointed to the post of Development Commissioner after overseeing three important departments at the same time: Disaster Management, road Construction, and Health.

The responsibility for the Road construction Department has been transferred, but he will still serve as Additional Chief Secretary and continue to supervise the health and Disaster Management divisions

The Bihar government has made smart changes to important administrative positions, as seen by this reorganization, which guarantees that dependable individuals like Pratyay Amrit would be in charge of important portfolios.

With the appointment of Mihir Kumar Singh as the new Additional Chief Secretary of the Road Construction Department, the Bihar government has made even more notable changes to its bureaucracy. Singh formerly held the positions of Chief Investigation Commissioner in the General Administration Department, the Panchayati Raj Department, and the Mines and Geology Department.

He will now only be able to concentrate on the road construction department after being released from all of these responsibilities.

The Principal Secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department, Narmadeshwar Lal, was also promoted to the position of Additional Chief Secretary of the Mines and Geology Department. Lal will also be in charge of the Managing Director (MD) position for the Mining Corporation Limited and the Mineral Development Corporation.

Divesh Sehra, who is now the secretary of the Scheduled Caste and Tribe Welfare Department, has also been reallocated by the state government to the position of secretary of the Panchayati Raj Department.

As the Secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department, Kartikeya Dhanji, the Secretary of the Road Construction Department, has been assigned additional responsibilities.

These adjustments are a part of a larger administrative restructuring that aims to improve governance and streamline duties in Bihar’s major departments.
