Ukraine: In response to proof of North Korean participation in Russia’s conflict in Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged friends on Tuesday, October 22, to “not hide” and to act.In his evening speech, he said that Ukraine had learned that two battalions, potentially totaling up to 12,000 North Korean soldiers, were being prepared to join Russian forces in the conflict.

“This is a challenge, but we are prepared to meet it. “Partners should not run away from this challenge either,” Zelenskyy said.

The chief of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence informed the U.S. newspaper The War Zone that Kyiv anticipated the arrival of North Korean soldiers on Wednesday in the Kursk area in southern Russia, where Ukrainian forces invaded in August.

Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov said the media outlet, “We are anticipating the arrival of the first forces tomorrow in the direction of Kursk. “How many they will have and how they will be outfitted are still unknown. We’ll find out in a few days.

During his speech, Zelenskyy said that neither Russia nor North Korea considered the number of people killed in a fight.

However, ending the conflict, not extending it, is something that all people on the planet are equally interested in. Therefore, we have to stop Russia and its allies,” he said.

“If North Korea can intervene in a war in Europe, then the pressure on this regime is definitely insufficient.”

On Tuesday, British Defense Secretary John Healey said that it was “highly likely” that North Korea had started deploying hundreds of soldiers to support Russia in the fight, which has been going on for more than two and a half years.

Seoul may think about sending weapons straight to Ukraine as part of efforts to thwart military links between North Korea and Russia, according to a senior official in South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s administration.

Washington was discussing the ramifications of North Korean engagement with its partners, according to a senior U.S. diplomat who warned on Monday that such a development would be “dangerous and highly concerning development” if it were to occur.

The deployment of North Korean forces would dramatically intensify the confrontation, according to remarks made by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Monday.
