With the US election and the NFL trade deadline happening on the same day, American TV viewers are spoilt for choices when it comes to consuming content. On one hand, there is the possibility of a major trade that could decide the fate of the favourite football team for the rest of the NFL season, on the other, the next commander-in-chief of the nation is on the ballot.While the major online trends had topics related to the US elections, such as who is leading, the live election map and where and how to vote for the candidate of choice, and the NFL trade deadline. Among the high-profile trades that happened today, there was Mike Williams of the New York Jets, who went to the Pittsburg Steelers. Preston Smith, who was with the Green Bay Packers before, was also acquired by the Steelers.
