is Marlborough College's most famous alumni - but she was by no means the only notable name to attend the top boarding school.
Prince William's future wife joined the prestigious co-ed boarding school in 1996, having at her previous school, Downe House. She left in 2000, having gained 11 GCSEs and As in Maths and Art and a B in English for . A few years behind the future Princess was none other than comedian . Jack brought up their shared education at the Royal Variety Performance in 2014 - and he used the occasion to reveal an "inappropriate" secret.
As Jack took to the stage to huge cheers from the crowd, he explained how he knows Kate. "I'm very excited to be here. I'm especially excited to be here performing in front of the Duchess of Cambridge," he said. "We were actually at school together. This is true. . I was a bit younger than you, but this is the first time I've seen you since school, so hello." Kate could be seen laughing in her seat and giving him a small wave.

Jack then continued: "I don't whether it's appropriate given the circumstances, but you were probably my first ever crush…Okay, definitely inappropriate. Your Highness is giving me a very sharp look," he added in reference to . Jack didn't get away with his flirting, and William had something to say about it after the show. Recalling their chat during to , Jack said: "William came over and he was very funny, he was very nice but very passive aggressive [and said] 'Oh, so you were flirting with my missus? Oh no, that was very funny!'"
It's not the first time Jack's remarks about Kate have got him into trouble. More recently, he speculated about why he hadn't received an invitation to . Jack revealed he had performed at Kensington Palace, years ago, when had hired him as entertainment for his staff's party - and it did not go well.
"I went out and they were sat, him and , in the front row in thrones, literally in thrones," Whitehall told James Corden on The Late Late Show. "And I had no microphone so I was literally the court jester for half an hour. I did a load of jokes about because she'd been at my school, and I was referring to her as 'the one that got away' which he didn't like at all."
He added: "I literally bombed so hard and afterwards I had to meet him and I had to bow and he said, 'Yes, well, I think next year we might try a magician.'" Kate and Jack are by no means Marlborough's only famous alma mater. Other notable former pupils include Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman, wartime poet Siegfried Sassoon, writer Dick King-Smith, and singer Chris de Burgh. Kate's younger sister and are also Old Marlburians, as is Samantha Cameron, and , the new Duchess of Westminster.
