Fans have been eagerly awaiting Imran Khan’s return to the big screen ever since the actor’s social media comeback. Despite rumors of his return, director Danish Aslam has said that he is collaborating with the actor on a project. Break Ke Baad was the actor-director team’s previous project.
Speaking to India Today Digital, filmmaker Danish Aslam discussed his impending partnership with Imran Khan. The filmmaker discussed how Break Ke Baad brought the romantic comedy genre back to life and how it continues to be popular today. He acknowledged that he is collaborating with Khan when discussing this romantic comedy film. “I really can’t talk about that too much right now,” he remarked. He and I are collaborating on a project, and some press coverage has already been published. Some of it is accurate, while others are not.
The director said that as the specifics are finalized, a formal announcement would be made. The idea is still in its early stages, he said. “Unfortunately, it is a project that is still work in progress,” he said. Therefore, we will gladly publish it to the public as soon as everything is sealed and in place. All I can say, however, is that Imran Khan and I are collaborating on a project.
Aslam said in the same session that romantic comedies have a market and an audience. He spoke about how people desire something fresh and how action and manly films are becoming more and more popular.
Regarding his career, Aslam is preparing for the release of Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, starring Sayani Gupta and Prateik Babbar. In contrast, Khan last appeared on film with Kangana Ranaut in 2015’s Katti Batti.
