Hyderabad: In an effort to enhance the pilgrimage experience to the Sabarimala temple, the Pathanamthitta district administration, in collaboration with Muthoot Group, has launched a cutting-edge digital assistant ‘Swami Chatbot’.
This state-of-the-art digital assistance aims at providing real-time information, assistance and safety measures to the thousands of devotees who visit the temple every year.
The Swami Chatbot, accessible through a smartphone interface, offers a comprehensive range of services in six languages — English, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada, according to Pathanamthitta District Collector Prem Krishnan S.
Pilgrims can use the chatbot to get information such as temple opening timings, prasadam availability and pooja schedules, enabling them to plan their visit effectively.
Additionally, the chatbot provides directions to nearby temples, airports, railway stations and bus stops, ensuring seamless travel for devotees, the Collector added in a press release.
Recognising the potential for accidents and emergencies during the peak pilgrimage season, the Swami Chatbot serves as a vital safety tool.
It offers centralised access to emergency hotlines for police, fire services, medical assistance, forest authorities, food safety and more. This ensures prompt response and action in case of any unforeseen incident.
By providing a tailored and informative digital companion, the district administration aims to make the journey to Sabarimala more convenient and secure for all devotees.
