A horrific accident took place in Bharuch district of Gujarat on Tuesday (19 November). There was a massive collision between a car and a truck near Amod Road in Jambusar of the district. The collision between the two was so terrible that six people including three children in the car died. Four people were seriously injured. On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and evacuated all the people and shifted them to Vadodara for immediate treatment. The accident happened when the car collided with a truck parked on the road.
Jambusar police has started investigating the case. The police have sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem. Jambusar police station in-charge Inspector AV Panamiya said that the accident occurred on the Jambusar-Amod road near Magnad village at around 11 pm on Monday night. Police station in-charge said that the accident happened when 10 people of Vedach village were going towards Shuklatirtha. Also, according to initial information, the accident may have happened due to high speed and overtaking.
FIR registered against the driver
The deceased have been identified as Jaidev Gohil (23), Saraswati Gohil (21), Hansa Jadav (35), Sandhya Jadav (11), Vivek Gohil (16) and Kirti Gohil (6). The officer said that after the incident, Jambusar police has registered an FIR against the driver of the truck under sections 125, 285 of the Indian Justice Code. He told that the driver has not been caught yet.
The bus had climbed the divider
A few days ago a similar accident had happened in Surat also. A private bus had climbed the divider near Keem Overbridge in the city. According to the information, the accident happened when the bus driver lost control of the steering. According to the information received from the police, the luxury bus was going from Surat to Saurashtra. There was no death in the bus overturning incident, but the passengers were seriously injured. The passengers traveling in the bus claimed that the driver was drunk and the speed of the bus was very high. In such a situation, he could not control the speed and the bus first collided with an electric pole and then climbed on the divider.
