New Delhi: A massive fire in a slum area in the national capital gutted at least 150 shanties, the officials of Delhi Fire Service said. The fire broke out in Bawana in the outer Delhi area early Tuesday. The fire officials got the call at around 1:30 am.According to news agency PTI, 18 fire tenders were rushed to the site to control the blaze. The flames lasted for nearly six hours till 7:20 am. Officials said that a short circuit apparently led to the blaze, and a probe is underway.
