Bathua Dal Recipe: Whatever the season, eating green vegetables is very beneficial for health. However, their arrival increases in winter. Material
- Bathua leaves-2 cups
- Arhar dal/Toor dal-1 cup
- Turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder-1/2 teaspoon
- Asafoetida-1 pinch
- Cumin-1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger-garlic paste-1 teaspoon
- Ghee-2 tbsp
- Green chilli and salt as per taste
- Coriander leaves – as required
Method (Bathua Dal Recipe)
1- To make Bathua dal, first wash the pigeon pea/tur dal properly and soak it in water for 15-20 minutes.
2- Now put it in the cooker and cook it properly. Don't forget to add turmeric powder and salt in it.
3- Take off after about two to three whistles on low flame. Now wash the Bathua leaves thoroughly and chop them finely.
4- Now take some water in a pan and pour it and cook, keep cooking until the bathua becomes soft.
5- Now take it out separately and prepare tadka with the help of ghee. Also add asafoetida, cumin, ginger-garlic paste and green chillies.
6- Now add dal and bathua in the tempering and also add salt as per taste. Cook it for 5-7 minutes. At the end you can add coriander leaves over it.
