Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has increased the pace of expansion of its 4G services across the country. By December 2024, the company has started 4G services in four metro cities Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata Chennai, and most of the state capitals. The company aims to make 4G services available in all circles of the country by June 2025.

Along with this, BSNL is also preparing to launch 5G services in early 2025. BSNL is working fast with the aim of strengthening the network and providing high-speed internet and better connectivity across the country. This step will prove helpful in further promoting the 'Digital India' campaign.

How to check the availability of 4G service?

Customers can call 1800-180-1500 from BSNL mobile or landline and 1800-345-1500 from other networks to check the availability of BSNL's 4G service in their area.

BSNL launched several new services to improve the user experience between October and November 2024. Among them is the Spam-Free Network service, which protects against spam messages and fake calls.

The company has launched another service called Fiber Based TV Service (IFTV). This service provides more than 500 live TV channels for free to the customers of fiber internet. Apart from this, "Any Time SIM" (ATS) kiosks have also been introduced, which work 24/7. Through these kiosks, customers can purchase, upgrade, or switch SIMs at their convenience.

To increase safety and efficiency in the mining sector, BSNL has partnered with the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). Under this initiative, 5G connectivity will be used in mining areas. Along with this, BSNL has also created a public safety and disaster relief network, which provides encrypted telecom services in emergencies. This network includes the facility to enhance coverage using drone and balloon based solutions.
