EastEnders fans are worried about the health of Bianca Jackson (portrayed by Patsy Palmer) after she has been held captive for weeks by Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).
Reiss, a murderous accountant, has kept her confined in a lock-up since November when she discovered evidence linking him to the murder of his comatose wife Debbie in a care home last year.
His reign of terror commenced when he smothered Debbie to alleviate his financial troubles, having emptied her bank account to finance Sonia Fowler's (Natalie Cassidy) IVF treatment.
Sonia, who is pregnant, was arrested for Debbie's murder and has been detained on remand as her court trial approaches.
Viewers saw Reiss visit Sonia in prison before her court appearance on Monday (January 13), where she expressed her concern over not hearing from her sister Bianca since her plea hearing.
She made it clear to her fiance that she hoped Bianca would be present in court to support her, but was disappointed when neither Bianca nor Reiss showed up as she took the stand.
Reiss was later seen visiting Bianca in the storage unit where she has been living since November. Bianca appeared unkempt, chained to a wall with only old video tapes for company, reports .
On Wednesday (January 15), Reiss treated Bianca to pie and mash, and she surprisingly invited him to join her for dinner after surviving on noodles and biscuits, which he accepted.
Before Reiss departed the lock-up, Bianca feigned excruciating stomach pains and implored him to take her to the hospital, but her cries fell on deaf ears.
Yet, avid EastEnders viewers have been highlighting the severe health issues Bianca could face due to prolonged confinement without movement, exposure to sunlight, or proper nutrition, suggesting she might be in serious peril.
On social media platform X, a particularly observant fan pointed out: "#EastEnders more important than Bianca's toilet arrangements are muscle wasting and vitamin deficiencies she will have after 3 months tied up in a warehouse being fed biscuits by Reiss. Although I expect the scriptwriters will have Bianca doing the Marathon upon her escape."
Another chimed in with concern: "Bianca's not seen any natural sunlight for like 2 months now. She'd be a lot more ****** than the way she was looking there! #EastEnders."
A third voiced their speculation: "Wouldn't Bianca be seriously ill after 3m in a lock up? #EastEnders."
Meanwhile, another viewer questioned the authenticity of her condition: "Is Bianca really sick ? #EastEnders."
EastEnders airs Monday - Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and iPlayer
