Ingredients

Gather these ingredients in the right quantities before you start making these nutritious and healthy Omega-3 rich laddus for students’ exam preparation!

  • Flaxseeds – ¼ cup
  • Sesame seeds – ¼ cup
  • Poppy seeds – ¼ cup
  • Almonds – ¼ cup
  • Dates (seedless) – ½ cup
  • Ghee – 2 tsp (For a vegan option, use coconut oil)

How to Make Omega-3 Rich Laddus

Follow these steps carefully to prepare power-packed Omega-3 rich laddus that can help improve students’ focus and concentration this exam season!

  1. First, grind the dates and set them aside.
  2. Next, dry roast the flaxseeds, sesame seeds, and poppy seeds for 2–3 minutes on a medium flame.
  3. Once roasted, grind the flaxseeds, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and almonds into a fine powder. (Save 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds for rolling the laddus later.)
  4. Heat ghee in a pan, add the ground dates, and sauté for a minute or two.
  5. After sautéing the dates, mix in the ground seeds and almond powder, then sauté again. Let the mixture cook for about 2–3 minutes.
  6. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool.
  7. Once cooled, take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into laddus.
  8. Finally, roll the laddus in the reserved dry roasted poppy seeds.
