The two-day event, which is being organized by the Uttar Pradesh Department of Culture in partnership with the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), will include performances by 127 artists from 30 different nations, including seven Indian and 107 foreign artists.

The event will be directed by renowned choreographer Rani Khanam, who will skillfully combine traditional dance and music with modern forms. The Ganga Pandal, which is situated in Sector-1 of the Sangam Area, Parade Ground, Prayagraj, will host the performances.

ICCR posted on X to announce the event, saying, “Join us for the 10th Edition of the India-International Dance & Music Festival—ICCR’s International Cultural Mahakumbh, in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh.”

With only four days left until the huge spiritual fair comes to an end, Saturday is the 41st day of the Maha Kumbh. The celebration will end on February 26, which is Maha Shivratri, after starting on January 13.

The Maha Kumbh is still the greatest human gathering in the world, with millions of pilgrims having already taken a holy bath at the revered Triveni Sangam.

The Maha Kumbh Mela is one of the most important religious occasions in the world and has its roots in Hindu mythology. It confirms its position in India’s cultural and spiritual legacy by drawing pilgrims from a variety of backgrounds, ascetics, saints, sadhus, sadhvis, and kalpvasis.

As directed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emergency medical services at Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) Hospital have been strengthened in anticipation of the Maha Shivratri bath. In order to provide sufficient medical facilities, the number of intensive care unit beds has been raised from 52 to 147.

For Hindus, the Triveni Sangam—the meeting point of the Yamuna, Ganges, and the fabled Saraswati rivers—has great spiritual importance.

The ancient city of Prayagraj continues to see an unmatched demonstration of faith and devotion as the Maha Kumbh goes on, and cultural gatherings like the International Dance and Music Festival serve to further enhance this age-old custom.
